Your Botox result is partly determined by the quality of the injection and partly by what you do in the hours and days afterward. Following a few simple aftercare guidelines makes the difference between a result that lasts three to five months and one that fades faster than expected. This is the complete aftercare guide for Botox patients at Aura Bangkok Clinic and for any Botox patient in Bangkok looking for clear, accurate guidance.
4-6 Hours After Botox

Keep your head upright.
Avoid bending forward significantly or lying flat for at least four hours after your treatment. This allows the Botox to settle into the targeted muscle before gravity can cause it to migrate.
Do not rub, press, or massage the treated area.
This is the most important instruction in the immediate post-treatment period. Any significant pressure applied to the injection sites in the first few hours can cause the product to spread beyond the intended muscle leading to unintended effects such as brow heaviness if forehead Botox migrates.
Avoid touching your face unnecessarily.
Normal incidental contact is fine. Deliberate pressure resting your chin in your hands, pressing fingers against your forehead is what to avoid.
You can return to normal activities immediately.
Walking, light work, dining, shopping all completely fine. The four-to-six-hour restriction applies to specific behaviours, not to activity in general.

24 Hours After Botox
Avoid intense exercise.
Strenuous physical activity increases blood flow and body temperature, which can affect how Botox settles. Light walking is fine. Avoid running, gym training, hot yoga, or anything that significantly elevates heart rate and body temperature. After 24 hours, normal exercise can resume.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and very hot baths or showers.
High heat has a similar effect to intense exercise in the immediate post-treatment period. A normal warm shower is fine. A Thai steam room or sauna session, Bangkok has many should wait until the next day.
Avoid alcohol.
Alcohol increases bruising risk and vasodilation. Wait 24 hours before consuming.
Do not schedule facial treatments or massages.
Any facial treatment involving pressure on the treated area, massage, microdermabrasion, microneedling should be scheduled at least one week after Botox, not on the same day or the day after.

2 Weeks After Botox
Be patient.
Full results take ten to fourteen days to appear. The muscle activity reduces progressively what you see at day three is not the final result.
Avoid scheduling filler in the same session unless planned.
If you are combining Botox with filler, discuss this with your doctor in advance. Same-session Botox and filler is possible and commonly done, the order and timing matter, and your doctor will manage this if it is part of your plan.
Use SPF daily.
Sun protection is always important, and particularly so in Bangkok’s high-UV environment. SPF does not affect Botox directly but it protects the overall skin quality that makes your Botox result look its best.

How to Make Your Botox Last Longer in Bangkok
Maintain regular intervals. Patients who rebook at three to four months consistently before full movement has returned typically find their results last longer and require lower doses over time. Bangkok’s heat and active lifestyle mean patients here sometimes notice slightly shorter duration than in cooler climates planning a session every four to five months rather than every six is reasonable for most patients.
Stay hydrated. Adequate hydration supports overall skin health and the quality of the skin surface that your Botox result sits beneath. Bangkok’s heat makes dehydration a real daily risk.
Follow doctor guidance on top-up dosing. If a small asymmetry or undertreated area is visible at two weeks, a small top-up dose at this stage is appropriate much more efficient than waiting for the entire result to fade.
